Snip and Stitch is so excited to be a part of the 2015 Row by Row Experience. This year’s Row by Row is all about WATER, living on the beautiful Vancouver Island, we could not think of a more fitting theme. From the winter downpours to the coastal tides to the clean lakes, rivers, creeks and streams we are so fortunate to be surrounded by so many picturesque types of water. A local quilting artist, Daphne Greig of North Saanich, created our Snip and Stitch design and she has done an amazing job capturing the beauty of the West Coast water!
For those of you who are new to the Row by Row Experience, it is a fun and unique way to make a stunning quilt. Row by Row is a widely popular (shop-hop like) event in North America that runs June 21-September 8, available only in your local quilt shop. Shops participating in the Row by Row experience will be handing out FREE patterns. Have fun traveling, shopping and collecting all the different patterns. Have more fun making the rows and designing a quilt. There are no borders for quilters. Collect and shop wherever you travel. Each area has their own Facebook page. Like the page from the areas you visit to see pictures of the rows, shop displays, winning quilts and fabric plate projects. Each store participating in the Row by Row has created a fun collectable license plate, be sure to collect them in your travels as well!
Pick up as many designs as you can, then have fun mixing and matching your rows to create a unique and beautiful quilt! As an added bonus be the first person to bring a finished (quilted, bound, labeled) quilt using at least 8 different rows (each row must be 36 ½” wide and no more than 9 1/2 “ high) from 8 different participating stores into a Snip and Stitch and receive a bundle of 25 beautiful fat quarters. Expires Oct. 31, 2015. If your finished quilt include the Snip and Stitch West Coast View Row, you will be receive a bonus prize!
Bring your completed quilt into Snip and Stitch before October 31, 2015, and if it includes the Snip and Stitch Row by Row design be entered into a draw for a special prize, and get a picture of your quilt on the blog and Facebook page.
Snip & Stitch will also be cutting kits for our Row by Row design which will include our well loved Northcott fabrics and they will be available to purchase at a nominal fee, starting June 21st. Snip and Stitch will also have available a bonus pattern for turning their row into a table runner or bed runner. To make things easier, we “cut kits” for our West Coast View Row, just add the boarders; it makes a great wall hanging or table centre!
